陽 yáng : the complement of yin

The 商 shāng sound is represented by LI-1 and LU-11 and not at other points of the metal channels. It may be because these two points are effective in treating disorders of the throat, the organ that produces the five sounds.

Location 部位: On the index finger, radial to the distal phalanx, 0.1 F-cun proximal-lateral to the radial corner of the index fingernail, at the intersection of the vertical line of the radial border of the fingernail and the horizontal line of the base of the index fingernail.

Needling【針法 zhēn fǎ】:

Shallow needle of 0.1 to 0.2 cun or prick the point for bleeding

Action【功效 gōng xiào】:

Drain heat and stop spasm [泄熱止痙 xiè rè zhǐ jìng]

Open the orifices and relief the throat [開竅利咽 Kāi qiào lì yàn]

•Indication【主治 zhǔ zhì】:

Stroke, unconsciousness of phlegm, closed teeth, sweating due to fever, chest heat, cold and heat febrile malaria, sore throat, blue blindness, finger numbness, pain outside the arm, shoulder and back pain leading to lack of pelvis , Toothache, dry mouth and swollen mouth.
