(Video) 木 mù points for eyes and nose diseases

In this video I am going to talk about several points to treat the eyes and nose and are consider as key points in Master Tung system of acupuncture.

木 [mù] wood (11.17)

Name: 木 [mù] : wood

Source: Master Tung original book (1973)

Location: On the palmar aspect of the index finger, 3-points set at the margin of the proximal phalangeal bone, on the ulnar line. [mù yī, mù èr, mù sān]

How to locate: Divide the phalanx into half where the second point is located. Then, between the phalangeal joint and metacarpal-phalangeal joint and the middle point, are located the other two points.

Needling: 0.2-0.5 cun perpendicular. Needle at the opposite side.

Reaction area: Liver.

Indications: Open the orifices (eye, nose): dry eyes, watery eyes, tearing with exposure to wind, sinusitis and rhinitis.
Irritability due to hyperactive liver yang, bitter taste in the mouth, hypochondrium pain, tinnitus, itchy skin, eczema.

Recation area:  Heart, Lung

Indications: palpitations, goiter, enlarged heart (cardiomegaly), chest pain, back pain, severe common cold, nasal congestion, cough, asthma, bronchitis, tendon and muscle cramps, elbow tendinitis
