This is a set of three points comprised of Huo lian Huo ju and Huo san. This dao-ma set is commonly used in the clinic to treat the head and face area. These points can pacify internal wind, calm the heart and restores communication between the kidney and heart, the water fire pivot in the body.

huǒ lián 火連, huǒ jū 火菊, huǒ shān 火山
huó [火] fire, imply that these points can drain fire and associated with the fire phase and heart organ.
lián [連] The herb huang lian has the same character. This is a bitter and cold herb that drains heart fire which imply the point function
jū [菊] The herb ju hua has the same character. This is acrid and cool herb that treat the head, face and the eyes, imply the point function effecting the head.

66.11 Huo ju is 1 cun proximal from Huo lian or 0.5 cun proximal from SP4.

Indications: hypertension, headache, blurred vision, brain tumor, numbness of the hand and fingers, palpitations, dizziness, pressure in the head, pain in the eyelids, pain in the eyes.
