Name: 肺心穴 fèi xīn
fei- lung, Xin- heart. the name of the points suggest their effect on the upper part of the body and also the chest area.
Point Location: These 3 points are located uniformly on the posterior midsagittal digit line of the middle finger, in the center of the 2nd phalanx.
Fei xin 1 – (upper point) This point is located at the midpoint between Fei xin 2 (middle point) and the first interphalangeal joint
Fei xin 2 – (middle point) This point is located at the midpoint of the posterior midsagittal digit line on the dorsal surface of the middle phalanx of the middle finger.
fei xin 3 -(lower point) This point is located at the midpoint between Fei xin 2 (middle point) and the second interphalangeal joint
Indications: (1) Herniated disc of the cervical spine, neck pain, herniated disc in the spine . (2) Intercostal neuralgia, chest pain, back pain, occipital headache, sciatica. (3) neuralgia of thumb, calf pain.
Note: excellent points to treat cervical spine disorders.
Method of needling: either use regular needles or press tack needles. transverse needling
