Name【名稱 mīng chéng】:

極 [jí] : extreme, most venerable ,best

泉 [quán] :spring, fountain

The qi of the heart channel start from this point and flows down the channel toward the hand. This is an analog for water emerges from a spring and flowing toward the sea (hand and fingers)

Location【部位 bù wèi】:

In the axilla, in the centre of the axillary fossa, over the axillary artery.

Needling【針法 zhēn fǎ】:

Needle 0.5-1 cun perpendicular towards the acromion and avoid the axillary artery. 1-3 Moxa cons 1 to 3 and 5-10 moxa stick

•Indication【主治 zhǔ zhì】:

Chest pain, dry vomiting, heartache, thirst with desire to drink, cold-pain at the elbow, anesthesia for upper limb surgery, axillary pain.
