•In the anterior thoracic region, in the sixth intercostal space, 4 cun lateral to the anterior median line.

Needling【針法 zhēn fǎ】:

Neddle 0.5-1 cun laterally along the intercostal space, not perpendicualr or deep needling. 3-7 Moxa cons moxibustion and 10-15 minutes of moxa stick.

Action【功效 gōng xiào】:

Coursing the liver and rectify qi [疏肝理氣 shū gān lǐ qì]

Transform stasis and dispersing masses [化瘀消積 huà yū xiāo jī]

Classical: chest pain, chest irritation, chest distension, liver disease, hypochondral distention, vomiting, coughing, dizziness, chest heat, heartache, breathlessness, malaria, typhoid fever, convulsions, leprosy, drowning, cholera venting, can’t speak, postpartum illnesses
Modern: Intercostal neuralgia, liver pain, hepatosplenomegaly, hepatitis, cholecystitis, cholelithiasis, pancreatitis, diaphragm spasm, gastric neurosis, mastitis, indigestion, breast hyperplasia.
