Location【部位 bù wèi】:

•On the palm, radial to the midpoint of the first metacarpal bone, at the border between the red and white flesh.

Needling【針法 zhēn fǎ】:

Needle 0.3-0.5 cun toward the palm. Moxa stick for 3-5 minutes.

Action【功效 gōng xiào:

Clear lung heat [清肺熱 qīng fèi ré]

Stop cough and asthma [止咳喘 zhǐ ké chuǎn]

Clear the throat and dispel mass [清咽消疳積 qīng yàn xiāo gān jī]

•Indication 主治【zhǔ zhì】:

Classical: cough, wheezing, hemoptysis, cold, heartache, vomiting, stomach gas, diarrhea, upset, dullness, fullness, headache, dizziness, dry throat, throat numbness, sore throat, toothache, dysphonia, aphonia, damp heat, Jaundice, malaria, hematuria, impotence, malnutrition in children, elbow contracture, swollen fingers.
Modern: fever, chronic bronchitis (acute attack period), spontaneous sweating, infant diarrhea, tonsillitis, fetal position, and thumb flexor tendinitis.
