PC6:內關 [nèi guān] Inner pass

•Collateral point, (絡穴), confluent point of the yin wei mai (通調陰維脈)

Name 名稱:

內 nèi : inner, inside

關 guān : gate, passage, to shut, to close

Location 部位:

On the anterior aspect of the forearm, between the tendons of the palmaris longus and the flexor carpi radialis, 2 cun proximal to the palmar wrist crease. 

Needling 針法:

Needle 0.5 to 1 inch perpendicular. Pay attention to avoid damaging the median nerve trunk. Direct moxibustion is 5-7 coins, moxa stick is about 10-15 minutes.

Action 功效:

Open and broad the chest (寬胸)

Quieting the heart (寧心) and calm the spirit (安神)

Regulating the stomach (和胃)

Downbearing counterflow of qi (降逆) and stop nausea and vomiting (止嘔)

•Indication 主治:

chest pain, chest tightness, heartache, stomach pain, nausea and vomiting, difficulty eating, palpitations, irritability, madness, panic, heart grief, forgetfulness, dementia, malaria, diarrhea, prolapse, flank pain, abdominal pain, fullness of the chest, dizziness, red eyes, Coronary heart disease, myocarditis, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, arrhythmia (mainly arrhythmia of agitated origin), hypertension, shock, headache, cerebral arteriosclerosis, stroke, rheumatic heart disease, heart failure, hysteria, depression, gastroenteritis, intercostal neuralgia, median nerve injury, insomnia, motion sickness, seasickness, airsickness, drunkenness.

•Point pair 配穴:

PC6-LV5: unblocking the jue-yin channels and collaterals (Wang Ju-Yi 王居易)

PC6-LV3: unblocking the jue-yin channels and spread LV qi

PC6-SP4: to regulate the chong mai and to treat abdominal pain.

PC6-ST44: to treat acute vomiting and diarrhea and reverse upward counterflow, usually in cases of acute summerheat invasion (Wang Ju-Yi 王居易)
